Ever wondered what would happen if you took a sandwich-obsessed founder with a background in coffee, added a partner who earnt their stripes in high-end kitchens and put them together in a playground in leafy Leytonstone? No? Fair enough. But if you’re wondering: the result is Sandwiches of Distinction – Earl’s tagline and north star.

The initial concept was simple: take a familiar, oft taken for granted meal format, apply techniques usually reserved for tasting menus, create sandwiches worth telling your mates about and pair with delicious specialty coffee.

Everything is made from scratch, and every element earns its place. Between two slices of bread there’s nowhere to hide when it comes to presentation, but there are endless possibilities when it comes to execution. And that’s the fun of it, all contained in a joyous little package that doesn’t take itself too seriously.
