Starting as a street food venture from a home kitchen in North London, in homage to Grandma Bill and the cafe she ran in the 70's & 80’s. Nanny Bill’s opened the hatch to its vintage food truck for the first time in Spring 2015, feeding the hungry patrons at East London food market Night Tales. Their signature ‘Mac & Cheese Croquettes’ caused quite a stir. Their hand-pressed burgers took London’s burger scene by storm; with Press and Instagrammers going crazy for the gravy soaked ‘Dalston Dip’ and the National Burger Awards Finalist – ‘The Jam’. They designed and built their own pop-up diner in Hackney Wick, with queues out the door all summer and went on to land some exciting residencies, Birthdays – Dalston and The Lock Tavern – Camden to name a few. Catering private events is a real passion for them and they've have had the honour to work with some of the biggest brands in the world, including Barbour, Adidas, Red Bull, Tommy Hilfiger, Levi’s, Warner Bros. and Timberland.
Summer ‘18 saw them serve their gravy dipped burgers and famous croquettes at the Oxford Street department store John Lewis. Crowds packed the 120 capacity rooftop restaurant for their notorious Buns & Balls. They proudly opened their first permanent location in Jan ’19 outside the national stadium in Wembley as part of the pop-up mall empire Boxpark; a new partnership with The Crystal Maze Experience will see Nanny Bill’s open a site a stone throw from Piccadilly Circus on Shaftesbury Avenue.
2019 is set to be their most exciting year to date. NB x
