PopUp — Unit 26

  • Online Shoreditch Social Panels 17 12 12 Rokit Vintage3

Carrying on our month of festive activities, we have Rokit Vintage in our unit 26 pop-up. We caught up with the Rokit team to find out more:
Tell us about who you are and what you do?
Rokit burst onto the scene with a stall in London's iconic Camden Market in 1986 specialising in vintage denim thrifted from American cowboys. The demand was so fierce that within a few weeks the stall was exchanged for a two storey shop on the high street and the Rokit vintage brand was born. Three further stores have been opened in Brick Lane and Covent Garden, each bringing Rokit's diverse and unique product range to a loyal band of regular customers, celebrities and tourists alike.

Which song best sums up your brand?

The Clash-Should I stay or should I go, because we're London based and don't like to forget our punk rock roots.

What can we expect from your stay at BOXPARK?

We plan to fulfil all of your Christmas jumper needs at Boxpark this year, after the success of last years' pop-up we figured we'd hang around a bit longer this time and make the place Christmassy AF!

Which piece from your current collection is your favourite?

There are literally too many to choose from this holiday season, we have tacky Christmas jumpers, rude Christmas jumpers and everything in-between.

What’s the best reason to come to Shoreditch for a shopping spree?

The Vintage shopping in Shoreditch is the best reason to visit the area, we have two stores on Brick Lane that are restocked daily with handpicked vintage pieces from our London warehouse.

What’s your top Shoreditch tip?

Shoreditch has an amazing art scene, on the first Thursday of every month over 150 galleries in East London hold free events and exhibitions, not to mention the ever-changing street art in the area.

What does the future hold for your brand?

Our brand is always on the lookout for ways that we can re-use and recycle items.Over the past three decades, Rokit has recycled over a million tonnes of discarded clothing, we believe that sustainable fashion is the future and we aim to make it as accessible as possible.

You can catch Rokit Vintage's pop-up from Tuesday 12th - Sunday 17th December in unit 26 of BOXPARK Shoreditch!
