The Jewellery Pop Up are taking over our pop-up unit! We asked them a few questions to give you an idea of what to expect!
Tell us about who you are and what you do?
We are a collaborative of six jewellery designer-makers. We met whilst training at Central Saint Martins. Over the past few years we have spent time in the industry learning and building up our brands. Last December we held our first pop-up shop in a small space on Boundary Street. We fell in love with Shoreditch so we wanted to come back! The Jewellery Pop-Up was built as a platform to celebrate and support up and coming jewellery brands. At a time where small businesses rely on selling and marketing their work online, we believe that having a physical presence through bricks-and-mortar is so important. So by collaborating with one another, we have been able to create a fun and inspiring space of our own and show off each designer’s unique brand and style. We all chip in and work as a team to market the brand, create our shop aesthetic and do all the boring stuff too!
Which song best sums up your brand?
Scarlett Groove by Maribou State.
‘go your way, go easy’ - it's quite a chilled song with an uplifting beat.
What can we expect from your stay at BOXPARK?
A relaxed space to discover new ethical brands, who make their jewellery locally. Our designers will be working at the space so you can come and meet us and find out how the jewellery is made and find a piece that you will love forever. During our time at Boxpark, we will also be holding a prize draw where at the end of the week, our winner will be able to pick a piece of jewellery from any of the designers collections.
Which piece from your current collection is your favourite?
We have six different designers at this summer's pop up and everyone offers something different. We will all be producing brand new capsule collections for the summer!
What’s the best reason to come to Shoreditch for a shopping spree?
Shoreditch provides a pleasurable shopping experience in an inspirational and creative environment.
What’s your top Shoreditch tip?
Leave yourself a whole day as there’s so much to explore.
