Batch1 — Unit 13

Batch1 started life in 2014 from a flat in South East London. Founded by Rodney Green, what began as a small first batch of t-shirts sold online, the brand has come a long way…

That first batch of tees sold so well that another batch was designed… and those sold too. And so the story began…

With a heat press in the bedroom and a packing station on a converted bath tub, Batch1 soon took over that little flat… and then the loft too! But it was in 2016 when the very first Direct To Garment printer arrived that things really gained momentum.

Driven by a love for the planet and a desire to produce feel-good fashion in a sustainable way, we’ve always made to order - and digital printing was the perfect progression.

As our tees started flying out the door of the flat, those mail bags got heavier, our team got bigger and free space got smaller…

It was time to find the new Batch1 HQ! We moved into our much-loved studio in Eltham, South East London in 2017 and it’s home to our small (but mighty) creative and production team.

With its roots in London life alongside an obsession with the British coastline, Batch1’s passions and inspirations draw from London streetwear, surf, skate, youth and snowboard culture and a love for planet Earth. Oh and food. We really really love food.

There’s been a lot of DIY, many many long hours, tons of biscuits, gallons of tea and a lot of making it up as we go along but we wouldn’t have it any other way!

Sustainability is at the heart of what we do and how we work. We print on demand and make everything to order daily to minimise wastage and surplus stock. Every single garment is designed, branded, printed and packed by hand by our small team at our studio.

For years we’ve dreamed of creating a fresh and exciting shop experience to showcase our products and build something super fun for our customers…
