BOXPARK TALKS: NORMSKI:MAN WITH THE GOLDEN SHUTTER

Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Hip Hop with an exhibition of work from his New Book Normski: Man With The Golden Shutter

The evening will host a book sale and book signing event in the BEATBOX. Then from 7pm Rinse FM's SK Vibemaker and London creative/visual artist Yeliz Zaifoglu will host a live conversation and with London legend Normski sharing some of the many stories from his experiences photographing some of the biggest names from the Golden Age of Hip Hop, photographs, creativity and design of the book. Dance Music in the 80s and early 90s. With a very rare DJ set from Normski to round off the evening from 8pm-9pm!

The book includes Normski’s often previously unseen photographs of Public Enemy, N.W.A., Cypress Hill, De La Soul, Goldie, Ice-T, Run DMC, Wu-Tang Clan and many others, alongside the photographer’s stories and anecdotes from the centre of what would become a hugely influential cultural movement.
