Growing up in London, Tall Scholes (fka JRust) has always been heavily involved in the thriving music scene from a young age.

The influence from his parents’ music taste, a deep collection of Soul & Disco, along with the bustling music scene in London during the early 00’s, primarily UK Garage, House & D&B, all encouraged him to learn how to mix and had a large influence on his selections as a DJ.

These have all combined to forge a very well rounded his musical palette. His sets now project just that, a host of 4x4 edits, Bouncy Funky House, classic 2 step cuts, Hip Hop and everything in between.

Scholes has recently played for Mike Skinner & Flava D’s residencies at XOYO, with his brand PAPERcuts taking over room 2 at the iconic east London venue. Over the years, he’s played at festivals such as Bestival, Lovebox, Lost Village, Nozstock, Boomtown and many more. Playing across Europe at Ibiza Rocks and Croatia, as well as touring Europe with record label Darker Than Wax in Barcelona, Paris & more.

After recently honing in on his sound, Tall Scholes is now cementing himself as one of the countries most sought after selectors.
