Spotlight: Drums & Flats

It's not London without some quality chicken wings, let's be honest now.
That's why we're stoked to announce that we'll be launching Boxpark Wembley with the wing masters, Drums & Flats. We caught up with founders, Dan and Khamisi to find out more.
Tell us who you are and what you do.
We're Drums & Flats and we specialise in chicken wings. Growing up together in South London, we have always had a passion for chicken wings! In 2015 we set up Drums & Flats, taking our passion for wings to the people of London. This was fuelled by a commitment to produce the best flavoured wings in the city, and a vibe to match.
How did Drums & Flats come about?
We both love chicken wings and it just started out with trying out recipes in our kitchens. Food is a key part of our family backgrounds, and mixing these same cooking styles and seasonings with our own vision is what birthed Drums & Flats. Just by chance a local venue had an opening for a kitchen pop-up and we haven't looked back from that day.
What song best sums up your brand?
Notorious B.I.G.'s 'Juicy' would best describe our wings and the first part of our story and it's one of the tunes you might hear playing from our unit. A certified Drums & Flats banger!
What can customers expect from you at Boxpark Wembley?
Good food. Plenty of flavour. Nuff energy, pure vibes and probably a buffalo space stain on your favourite t-shirt, but it's only a
t-shirt at the end of the day.
What is your favourite item on your menu?
It changes week by week. It's a bit like asking a parent who's your favourite child. This week though my favourite child would be our Sticky BBQ Wings.
Which other Boxpark trader would you recommend to customers?
We haven't been able to try everyone's food yet, but we know it's all good. Love the look of the Athenian's wraps on Instagram though!
What is your favourite thing about Wembley?
Arsenal beating Hull 3-2 in extra time of the FA Cup Final to win their first trophy since 2005. We drank a lot of beer and ate a lot of wings after the game to celebrate that day! We're both proud Gooners!
