Tell us about who you are and what you do?
Mini Stitches is the social enterprise arm of community arts charity Stitches in Time, supporting vulnerable, long-term unemployed BAME women, mainly from Bangladesh. Our innovative garment manufacturing service and training program drives positive social change whilst aiming to transform the British manufacturing industry. Our enterprising production service meets a growing demand for affordable, UK based ethical clothing manufacture. With the launch of our in-house clothing brand we have been able to offer increased training and employment opportunities to our beneficiaries. We are now looking for crucial routes into retail in order to sell stock products made by the women to ensure we can continue to successfully support vulnerable women into sustained employment.
