Happy New Year

It's hard to believe we're at the tail-end of 2017 but what a year it has been.
2017 was a year of big changes at Boxpark.
At Boxpark Shoreditch, we spent the summer renovating the upper decking to give you a space that you can feel comfortable in all year round. The once open-air decking now sports sliding doors and a brand new BoxBar, for your drinking and dining pleasure. This means that you'll be kept warm and dry in the harshest winter months and we can also open up the area to allow for some summertime celebrations, as well. It wasn't just the top decking that had a makeover, we saw traders from Boxpark Croydon make the leap to Shoreditch with their delicious menus. Now, you can enjoy Coqfighter's incredible fried chicken, the sumptuous crêpes from Les Deux Amies and the best fries in London, courtesy of Poptata. Vegan eatery, What the Pitta, also made the journey east to join Boxpark legends Cook Daily in offering up a wide range of meat-free meals. And there's more good news for London's vegans - Cook Daily is now housed in a much larger space, so that you can dine in and enjoy dishes from one of the best menus in the city.
Two new traders also joined the Boxpark family in Shoreditch - Osteria Della Pasta and Black Bear Burger; no prizes for guessing which either restaurant serves but one thing you absolutely can be sure of, is that these mouth-watering menus will not leave you disappointed.
There was much fun to be had south of the river, too, as Boxpark Croydon celebrated its first full year in the borough. Locals and visitors from far and wide continued to enjoy an extensive range of dishes from around the world, but it was the events in 2017 that really took centre stage.
Local legend, Stormzy, launched his debut album Gang Sign & Prayer with a series of special "secret" performances across London, culminating in a knock-out show in his hometown, Croydon. Stormzy took to the stage and delivered a towering performance, including major hits 'Shut Up' and 'Big For Your Boots' - the venue was absolutely buzzing.
Boxpark Croydon also enjoyed sell-out fitness events from the pioneering team behind Fight Klub. Big names like Fabio & Grooverider and Ragga Twins helped people to kick and punch their way to a healthier body. Fight Klub will return in the new year for more mayhem!
We also had major events from Rum 'n' Riddim and Nicky Blackmarket. The former featured an incredible headline performance from the legendary Shy FX, whilst the latter was a DnB birthday celebration of biblical proportions.
There was also an exciting mix of craft workshops, children's activities and art exhibitions across both Boxpark sites; something that we are going to continue to deliver on in the year ahead.
2017 was also the year that we announced our third venture - Boxpark Wembley. Work is underway to launch Boxpark 3.0 in 2018 and you can follow us online for further updates, as we continue our evolution of the revolution.
We're rounding up the year, tonight at Boxpark Croydon, with our massive New Year's Eve party with Eskimo Dance, featuring an incredible line up, including Wiley, D Double E, Rude Kid and many, many more! We hope to see you there.
2017 has been an amazing ride and there's still so much more to come! We hope you've enjoyed the last 12 months as much as we have, and we look forward to seeing you again in 2018 for more!
