Riaz Phillips is a writer, researcher and film-maker born and raised in London, UK. His books Belly Full: Caribbean food in the UK, Community Comfort and his new book West Winds: Recipes, history and Tales from Jamaica are the result of this. In addition to various food and writing awards West Winds was the winner of the 2022 Jane Grigson Award for outstanding cookbook writing.
