At BOXPARK Croydon on Friday 27 January, we celebrated LIT-SYNC’s 1st birthday and it was a night to remember.
The concept of a ‘lip sync battle’ was born during the Covid era, sparked by a conversation between our Content Manager (Mugib) and former GM of BOXPARK Croydon (Jake Wilde) around guilty pleasure entertainment and how to elevate the guest experience on a Friday night with something a bit different…
We’ve done karaoke, bingo, brunches and pub quiz nights to entertain people all-week round, but we wanted to add a new signature event to our roster with a BOXPARK twist. We launched LIT SYNC: The Lip Sync Battle in January 2022 and the rest is history…
On Friday night, we brought out all the thrills and frolics for this special celebration with colourful balloons, confetti, and a dreamy Lit-Sunrise cocktail featuring tropical flavours of Absolut, Passoa, Cranberry Juice, Orange Juice and Passionfruit Syrup.
The event was hosted by our LIT-SYNC stars DJ Fiona Hall and Mista Alvin, who presented a line-up of jaw-dropping lip sync performances with special guests, and prizes. We welcomed guests and wanna-be Britneys and Beyonces to perform on stage with a live audience alongside our amazing back-up dancers. Winners from previous Lit Sync battles returned to the stage to battle in style against other contestants on the main centre stage.
