A fantastic programme of free entertainment in the town centre gets underway this weekend when students from the borough’s world-famous performing arts school take to the streets and public spaces to wow the crowds.
Croydon's very own The BRIT School has teamed up with Croydon Council and Croydon BID to bring BRIT Presents, a two-month programme of pop up performances, back to once again in the town centre, following initial wintertime performances in 2018.
Throughout June and July shoppers and visitors to Croydon will be able to enjoy a variety of performances and workshops from talented young singers, dancers, actors and musicians. From street dance workshops to musical theatre there will be something for all ages to enjoy.
The first event takes place this Saturday, 8 June, from12.30-2.30pm in Centrale Shopping Centre, with live music.
The following weekend, on Saturday 15th June 12.30 - 4.30pm, the students will be contributing to the Street Live programme of outdoor summer fun. Visitors to the High Street will be treated to dance and music with street dance workshops for all ages.
On Thursday 20 June from 3.30 - 5.00pm, The BRIT music students will be performing live on stage at Boxpark. A collection of students performing their own original work.
