Bring Your Own Bars Poetry is back for our fifth event! Join us again at Boxpark Wembley for a night of spoken word with our barons of bars, headliners Big Scoop and Woodzy!!! This is an 18+ event funded in part by Brent 2020 London Borough of Culture.

Hosted by SoftSpoken, Tannika and Akor, our night of bars and wordplay will again be enriched by the musical genius that is our DJ Solomon Adams on the decks during the breaks. Our events tend to sell out in advance and the only way to guarantee entry will be via a ticket on Evenbrite!

IMPORTANT: The show will start strictly at 7:00pm and will end at 9:30pm in order to comply with the current government curfew rules. The capacity is capped at 60 seats to allow for social distancing rules. We will offer more tickets than capacity and entrance will only be on a first come first served basis. Last entry for tickets is at 7:30pm, and check in for open mic tickets cuts off at 7pm strictly. Open mic sign ups on the door will replace unclaimed reserved slots at 7pm.

Big Scoop is known throughout the battle rap scene and has taken the spoken word world by storm too! Hailing from South London, Scoop has never held back with hard hitting punchlines and clever wordplay in all his work.

Woodzy is a force in the spoken word scene, having left audiences breathless for years now. At 26 years old, Brit School graduate has aready won the 2019 UK unsigned spoken word and been a winner and finalist of many a poetry slam. We're talking an artist that was first featured on BBC 1xtra and Channel AKA for his music before gaining noteriety for his 90s baby poem that's gotten over a million views over all social media platforms. Catch his poetry hanging in the Tower of London or his EP, Happy Place, on all streaming platforms. We're not stopping here - Woodzy has bridged the gap between the UK and US with his recent appearances on online open mics and having blown away LA audiences during his most recent American tour. His next project, Peace Out Peace In, launches at the end of this year!

Note - to minimise the risk of infection, BYOB is committed to following the strictest hyegiene practices by cleaning the microphone, stand and other communal equipment. We also kindly request that attendees sit in their allocated seats during the performance, and that during breaks for people wishing to socialise to do so outside of the beatbox venue. Boxpark require all visitors to pre-register their details via prior to entry to their venues. We strongly reccomend bringing hand sanitisers or antibacterial hand wipes with you, or to use one of the many sanitising stations located within the Boxpark Wembley venue. In the event that you cannot attend the show on the day, we kindly request for you to cancel your tickets via eventbrite to allow other guests the opprtunity to visit.

Tickets are essential via Eventbrite or via the link in our bio and is essential for entry. Tickets are limited due to government guidelines. Allocated social distancing and the strictest hygiene will be observed to minimise the risk of infection. This is an 18+ event an ID will be required for entry. We can't wait to welcome you for our second physical show since lockdown!
