Day of the Dead Lucha Libre Extravaganza

Location: Boxpark Croydon

On Saturday 7 November, BOXPARK Croydon hosts a Day of the Dead Festival with Coors Light. A Mexican holiday that celebrates friends and family who have died and through prayer and altars ‘ofrendas’ help support their spiritual journey. It is believed that the origins date back hundreds of years to an Aztec festival dedicated to the goddess Mictecacihuatl, known as the Lady of Death, and through centuries evolved into the modern Day of the Dead.

BOXPARK & Lucha Libre World present a thrilling spectacle of Mexican Lucha Libre as part of Day of the Dead celebrations on Sunday 7th November. The event will feature 8 sensational Luchadores will fight for the Day of the Dead Championship in a high-flying, dramatic and dazzling battle between rudos and tecnicos! Plus special performances by London’s Mariachi stars & La Catrina dancer.

During the day, the event will offer family activities such as paper wrestling mask making, skulls decorating and face painting plus special performances by London’s Mariachi stars, La Catrina dancer & guest Latin DJs playing popular Latin music.
