BOXPARK TALKS: BEING BLACK & QUEER IN 2021

With the growth of UK Black Pride and drag entertainment rising to popularity, this panel will discuss how socially acceptable it is to be Black and Queer in modern society. This session will explore the unique intersectional challenges that come with many who see themselves as a “double minority”, and how they are perceived by not only other nationalities, but within the Black community.

Join us at BOXPARK Croydon on Thursday 15th October 2021 for a thought-provoking discussion led by BBC 1xtra DJ & Host – Remi Burgz who has experienced rapid growing success in the entertainment industry. Remi will be joined by an exciting line-up of speakers from Lady Phyll – Co-Founder of UK Black Pride, Jason Okundaye – British-Nigerian Author & Cultural Writer and Nana Duncan – Two Twos Podcast.

FREE REGISTRATION DOES NOT GUARANTEE ENTRY. PLEASE ARRIVE EARLY TO AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT.
