Salary: £25K plus Bonus
Based: Brighton
Hours: Mon - Fri  10am-6pm

Experience: Qualified AAT or equivalent qualifications and 3+ years previous experience including Xero software use.

Boxpark is the World's 1st pop up mall company. We have just opened our 1st Food and Drink only retail destination, Boxpark Croydon and have ambitious UK and International growth plans. With such tremendous growth, the opportunities are endless. We are looking for an energetic professional to manage the financial functions of the business. Reporting to the CEO the responsibilities of the role will be wide ranging, and will include:
Main duties will include producing and reviewing the following:

  • Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable
  • Raising invoices
  • Reconciling cash income
  • Reconciling stock
  • Purchase Orders
  • Staff expenses
  • Supplier payments
  • Reconcile bank accounts
  • Weekly and monthly payroll including overtime, holiday, and sickness records
  • PAYE
  • Manage employee benefits such as pensions, benefits-in-kind etc
  • VAT
  • Monthly and Quarterly VAT returns on time
  • Management of accounting records and preparation of monthly management accounts on a timely basis
  • Organising all of the administrative activities to facilitate the smooth running of the office

Candidate's Profile

We are looking for an ambitious, results-focused individual who demonstrates a high level of professional integrity and extremely strong technical understanding and skills across a broad range of finance functions. You will bring a passionate and proactive style to the Finance function and have the ability to work in a pressurised environment. In addition, the following skills and experiences will be required:

  • An energetic and collaborative commercially minded Bookkeeper
  • Qualified AAT or equivalent qualifications
  • Proven experience of Xero accounting software
  • Proficient user of Excel and other MS Office software
  • Strong analytical reporting and communication skills
  • A good problem solver who actively looks for improvements
  • Maintains a flexible attitude and approach to changing requirements and priorities
  • Ability to work accurately and adhere to key deadlines
