#OXFAMHALLOWEEN FANCY DRESS POP-UP 25/10-30/10/16
Halloween @BOXPARK never fails to be SPOOK-TACULAR! To add to the festivities, we have Oxfam joining us for a Halloween pop-up fancy dress shop to help you with last minute costume ideas! We caught up with the team to find out what to expect:
Tell us about who you are and what you do?
We are Oxfam’s Festival Shop, a travelling charity shop that raises money for Oxfam’s purpose of helping to create lasting solutions to the injustices of poverty. In 2016 we’ve sold donated clothing and accessories at events including Glastonbury, Latitude, BoomTown and Bestival. This will be our first event in East London (we’re based in West Yorkshire) and we’re really excited!
Which song best sums up your brand?
The Monster Mash, because we’re quirky, retro and a bit spooky.
What can we expect from your stay @BOXPARK?
We’re stocking a range of preloved clothing and accessories, inspired by Victoriana and Gothic style. Think Wednesday Addams all grown up and fashion-forward.
Which piece from your current collection is your favourite?
Everything we stock is a one-off, so we have a range of unique finds for the Halloween and festive party season! From silk Whistles dresses to leather Church’s loafers, all items have been handpicked by us. We even have some hand-embellished wedding dresses for that Miss Havisham look.
Which current @BOXPARK brand are you most excited about appearing alongside and why?
We’re excited about visiting The Brokedown Palace to check out their range of ethical outdoor clothing. We trade at eight music festivals over the summer so high-quality and stylish outdoor gear is a must.
What’s the best reason to come to Shoreditch for a shopping spree?
The variety and fiercely independent style! Shoreditch is a destination for creativity not just across the UK, but the whole world.
What’s your top Shoreditch tip?
Get ready to Instagram! Shoreditch has quirky street art and street style around every corner.
What does the future hold for your brand?
Over the winter we’ll be preparing for the 2017 season by sorting through the generous donations given to us by the general public. We’ll be at music festivals throughout the summer, and we’re about to confirm some exciting events for the spring – keep an eye on our social media to find out where @oxfamfestshop on Twitter and Instagram and @oxfamfestivalshop on Facebook).
You can catch the Oxfam Halloween fancy dress pop-up here @BOXPARK from Tuesday 25th October – Sunday 30th October – Don’t miss out!
