Regarding: Manchester United v Crystal Palace Screening (SAT 19 SEP)
We would like to publicly address the behaviour at our recent CPFC sports screening in BOXPARK Croydon. We do not condone any irresponsible behaviour that ignores social distancing guidelines, and our staff took action to ensure anyone not adhering to the safety restrictions were removed from the venue.
As a public venue, we are committed to providing a safe environment for everyone and the wellbeing of our customers and staff is our number one priority. We have a comprehensive risk assessment and strict measures in place to protect the public from the spread of Covid-19, which includes mandatory requirements such as our Track & Trace system, hand sanitiser, and temperature checks on arrival.
For football screenings, we have a reduced capacity of 25% to ensure our staff can safely manage visitor numbers. This video is not representative of the audience throughout the match, as most guests followed the social distancing guidelines during the game and remained in their seats, however we are aware that a number of individuals failed to comply with guidelines and as a result, were asked to leave the premises.
We work closely with local authorities to manage our risk and provide a safe experience for our guests, and we are continuously reviewing our policies and procedures, as well as our events strategy to ensure we continue to do so.
