Beginning with the humble ethos of bringing shipping containers to East London, BOXPARK transformed the space into the world’s first pop-up dining and shopping destination in 2011.
Fast-forward a decade with three venues at iconic locations, BOXPARK has become the biggest food, culture and social hub in London with local communities at its heart. This unique experience is based on BOXPARK’s Eat.Drink.Play. philosophy.
EAT.
Each BOXPARK venue offers an impressive selection of street food options from all over the world. With an assortment of small, independent street food traders and some of London's favourite restaurants, BOXPARK explores a range of global cuisines and guarantees to transport your taste buds.
DRINK.
With its buzzing atmosphere, BOXPARK is the perfect spot to enjoy food and drink under one roof along with live music, entertainment or socialising with friends. Each venue boasts 3 – 4 bars both inside and on the terrace areas, including the popular BeatBox Bar serving craft beers, wines and spirits.
PLAY.
To make your visit to BOXPARK even better, each venue has its own year-round schedule of entertainment and a weekly community-led programme of events. BOXPARK Wembley has created its own leisure experience with a dedicated space for fun activities such as axe throwing, virtual reality experience, and a ‘PlayBox’ area which is home to shuffleboard, table tennis, pool and table football.

2011: BOXPARK Shoreditch opens
The world's first pop-up mall
- BOXPARK Shoreditch opens as the world’s first pop-up mall, offering boutique retail units in the heart of London’s creative quarter.

Hackney council tell us we have to include chevrons on the ground outside our venue. We’ve since incorporated it into our design.
2014: Boxpark Launches Boxpark Marketplace
- We launched BOXPARK Market Place to bring BOXPARK's pop-up mall online.
- Customers could purchase the best items from our best stores, wherever you are: Instore, Online, Mobile.
2015: The evolution of the revolution
- Plans are revealed for the opening a new BOXPARK site in Croydon, South London.
2016: BOXPARK Croydon opens

- BOXPARK Croydon in south London opens adjacent to the popular East Croydon rail station.
2017: Stormzy plays a pop-up show at BOXPARK Croydon
It was difficult keeping it under wraps. Believe us. But we couldn't pass up the opportunity to have Stormzy play to his home crowd, on the very same day that his debut album, Gang Signs & Prayer, launched.
2017: Upper deck relaunch at BOXPARK Shoreditch
- On Wednesday 7 June 2017 we celebrated the launch of Boxpark Shoreditch 2.0 in style. VIP guests were treated to an evening of spectacular food and drinks and live entertainment, as well as a giant adult ball pit.
2018: World Cup fever at BOXPARK
- BOXPARK Croydon goes viral during the 2018 FIFA World Cup
2018: EAT. DRINK. PLAY. IN A DIFFERENT LEAGUE.
- Plans are revealed for BOXPARK to open its third site in Wembley.
2018: Boxpark Wembley - Coming Home Late 2018
- We deliver the first piece of BOXPARK to Wembley.
2018: BOXPARK Wembley opens
Eat. Drink. Play. In a Different League
- BOXPARK Wembley opens on Olympic Way; a short walk from the famous Wembley Stadium.
2019: 1000 events in one year
- We host over 1000 diverse events in 2019 across each of our three venues.
- This includes the first full year at our Wembley venue, where we hosted official fanparks for major stadium events such as the FA Cup Final, England international football matches & a Spice Girls concert.
2020: COVID-19 pandemic forces us to close
- We are forced to close our venues in March 2020 following the outbreak of COVID-19.
- We reopen in July with new measures in place to keep our customers safe.
2020: We achieve a lot in a challenging year
- In what has been a challenging year, we still managed to attract people to our venues through a mixture of offers, technical innovation and events, as this highlights reel shows.
2021: We Are Back [For Good]
- We reopen again in April 2021 for outdoor dining, takeaway and shopping.
- In May, indoor dining returns.
2021: England get so close to EURO 2020 glory
- Under loosened pandemic restrictions we are able to host our famous football screenings during Euro 2020.
- We even hosted pre-match fanparks for matches at Wembley Stadium at our nearby venue.
- Many famous faces helped us make it the most epic tournament ever.
2021: We celebrate the first decade of BOXPARK
- We celebrate our tenth birthday is usual BOXPARK fashion with a series of epic events across one weekend.
